Asst. Profs. Rei Chino C. Pua and Cris Edwin B. Bonalos served as resource speakers for DA-BFAR Region IX’s “Empowering Fisherfolk Enterprises” training held in Dipolog City and Pagadian City on September 14–18, 2026. Pua discussed entrepreneurial mindsetting, business planning, and practical financial management, while Bonalos covered marketing strategies, the 4Ps, and pricing strategies.

DAME Students Dominate Young Farmers’ Challenge 2026 in Region IV-A

DAME celebrates the achievement of 10 BS ABME students who emerged as provincial winners in the Young Farmers’ Challenge (YFC) 2026 Provincial Level for Region IV-A, with six innovative enterprises receiving a total of ₱480,000 in start-up seed capital. The student-led ventures showcase innovative and sustainable solutions for the agricultural sector, advancing entrepreneurship, value creation, and responsible agricultural practices.

DAME attends the 36th IAGBT-KITRI BiAnnual Conference and Research Symposium at Dongguk University, South Korea

DAME-UPLB joined scholars and researchers from around the world at the 36th IAGBT-KITRI BiAnnual Conference and Research Symposium in South Korea, where 13 DAME delegates presented their research and contributed as moderators and discussants. Two DAME faculty members were also recognized with the Best Paper Award, highlighting the Department’s growing contributions to research in agribusiness, entrepreneurship, and business.
